Service on the ISSA Phoenix Board of Directors gives you the opportunity to guide our chapter, influence security practitioners, shape the destiny of the cybersecurity profession and enhance your personal leadership skills.
The officers of the Chapter must be general members in good standing as of the date of their election. These officers shall constitute the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors shall manage the daily routine business of the Chapter.

Submitting Nominations for the 2019 – 2020 Board of Directors:
Any ISSA Phoenix member in good standing may nominate another ISSA Phoenix member in good standing for a Board of Directors position. If you decide to nominate someone else for an officer position, be sure to verify that person is able and willing to serve. You are, also, encouraged to nominate yourself.
You may submit nominations in person at the 2nd Quarter Chapter Meeting or via email to: email@example.com by 7/20/18.
Nominees will be required to provide the following information:
- Name and contact information
- Short description of qualifications for the role
- Goals for the role
2019 – 2020 Board of Directors Election Process:
Nominee information will be compiled and emailed to all members in good standing by 8/6/18.
All ISSA Phoenix members in good standing are encouraged to vote. Votes will be accepted until 8/31/18.
Votes will be tallied and results will be announced at the Third Quarter Chapter Meeting on 9/6/18.

|President||The President shall be the executive head of the Chapter and shall preside at all meetings of the Chapter or appoint somebody else to preside in their place.||
|Vice President||The Vice President shall attend to the duties of the President in his/her absence and shall attend to any other duties as the President may require. The Vice President shall serve as Parliamentarian for the purposes of maintaining efficient and smooth operation of meetings, and for keeping them consistent with the Bylaws.||
|Secretary||The Secretary shall record and keep minutes of all meetings. The Secretary will be responsible for printing and/or publication of Chapter materials for meetings, conferences, and/or training sessions as needed.||
|Treasurer||The Treasurer shall collect all membership dues reimbursed by ISSA National Office and other monies to the Chapter, and shall keep an accurate account of all treasury receipts, expenditures, and deposits. The Treasurer will also lead efforts to develop the Chapter spending plan.||
|Membership Director||The Membership Director shall manage the Chapter’s mailing lists, member email addresses, member renewals and current status of the members. The Membership Director will, in coordination with the Program Director, ensure that meeting notifications and other communications as directed are sent to the active member listing.||
|Program Director||The Program Director shall manage the Chapter Meeting Programs as well as the program for any other events sponsored by the Chapter. The Program Director will work with speakers, presenters, venue managers, and any meeting facilitation services that may be needed.||
|Sponsorship Director||The Sponsorship Director will seek sponsorship of the Chapter and the Meetings to defray any cost.||
|Web Communications Director||The Web Communications Director shall manage the communications activities of the Chapter related to web/internet, and committees. It is the duty of the Web Communications Director to assure that the content on the ISSA Chapter site is accurate and in keeping with the high professional standards of the association and updated in a timely fashion.||

Nomination committee email candidates for slate (campaign) – Allow for 1 week
Email “Slate” to members for voting (Membership Dir) – 24 days of voting
Announce winners to membership (VP and Web Comm Dir) – Q3 meeting
